It helps if you include your iPhone model, your iOS version, the FuelSA version from Settings › Version inside the app, and the name of the station or the screen involved.
Common questions
A price in FuelSA was wrong at the pump.
FuelSA shows prices exactly as retailers report them to the South Australian Fuel Pricing Information Scheme. We do not set or edit them. A price can be stale if the retailer has not reported a change yet, so check the time stamp shown next to the price and always confirm the board price at the station. Persistent errors for a specific site are best reported to the scheme itself, via the SA Government fuel pricing page.
A station near me is missing.
FuelSA lists every South Australian site published in the official feed. If a site is missing, it is not currently in that feed — usually because it is new, closed, or not required to report. Tap Settings › Refresh fuel data to pull the latest station list.
Prices are not loading.
Check your internet connection, then tap Settings › Refresh fuel data. FuelSA limits price refreshes to once a minute, so wait a moment before retrying. If prices stay unavailable for more than an hour, the data service is likely down — email us and we will confirm.
FuelSA is not showing distances or centring the map on me.
That needs location access. Open Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services › FuelSA on your iPhone and choose While Using the App, or use the Open Location Settings button in FuelSA’s Settings tab. The app works without location — you just will not see distances.
Do I need an account?
No. FuelSA has no sign-up, no login and no subscription. It is free, with no advertising and no analytics.
Where are my saved stations stored?
On your iPhone, inside the app. They are not synced to a server or to us. Deleting the app removes them.
Which fuels and areas are covered?
All fuel types and all service stations that report to the South Australian scheme. FuelSA covers South Australia only — it does not show prices in other states or territories.
Why does a station show a phone number or website?
When you open a station page, FuelSA asks Apple Maps whether it knows that place. If it matches, the phone number and website Apple holds are shown and labelled as Apple Maps data. They are not supplied by the fuel pricing scheme.
I own a fuel brand shown in the app.
Brand names and logos are used only to identify the station brand reported by the scheme, and remain your property. Email fuelsa@haydenkong.com if you want artwork changed or removed and we will action it promptly.
Privacy and data
FuelSA collects no personal information, and your location never leaves your device. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy. The Terms of Use cover price accuracy and your consumer rights.
